  6. That's so funny. I was listening to you and thinking how clear your information is and how calm I felt listening to you. I thought I would write a comment to that effect. I scrolled down to the comments and the first comment at the top was supermelodia who said essentially the same thing! Driven Spice, you have skills! Love your channel!

  8. You've given a lot of good advice, and I'm going to give you a little. As you know, there are a lot of scams out there, and some of them involve freelancing. A whole separate area is MTM, which I think is a scam and is illegal in many states with enforcement spotty, so the best thing is to avoid it. Usually, if a business opportunity says it isn't MLM, that's an indication that it is. People lie or are just in denial. A freelance platform I tried was Elance, which has merged with another company, and I found that they collected piles of resumes without hiring many people. Another treacherous opportunity is working for Amazon. There are at least two ways to do this. One is to join Mechanical Turk where you can search for HITs, which are low-paying gigs. Tehy are very demanding, and they track your rejection rate, so don't accept HITs that you can't perform. They also issue Qualifications, which allow you to accept more gigs. The other Amazon opportunity is to offer drop shipped products made in China. There are gurus who will offer to teach you how to make a fabulous income. My advice is that some people have a knack for doing this but most people will get caught in a quagmire. A warning regarding freelance writing is that nearly all of it has devolved to copywriting, specifically SEO, and one of the specialties is something called product description. Why companies would hire someone else to write these is beyond me, but the job entails describing the company's product so that people will want to buy it. If you are looking to do freelance writing that doesn't involve sales, craigslist is another platform where you can search Jobs under Writing, and you might find one or two per year. I look at major cities and only a handful of those, also possibly London. I would also avoid nonprofits and startups unless you don't care about getting paid, which is difficult in any event. Most gigs want to pay through the web, sometimes by direct deposit.

  9. Thank you for your advice and information. I'm moving abroad in 18 months to Portugal. Using this time to get my funds right, learn the language, and just getting prepared for the move. I currently work at a clinic but someone on Facebook stated they usually hired people that live there mostly in the healthcare field. So I think I will choose the working remotely. I have so many questions but I'm so excited for the move!!! Thanks again.!!!

  10. I know you said in another video that Lisbon wasn't as cheap to live as you assumed, is there outskirt areas nearby that you could live that would be less expensive ? also I'm a Personal Trainer and I'm in the process of switching to doing online trainer/coaching . I'd love to visit prior to moving there but we ( United States ) is still under travel lockdowns for abroad. ( going to watch your other video that addresses this process )

  11. You are pointing out some great things that are very helpful πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘ 😊 I'm also thinking of making it there soon, is your location nice for retirement? Great advice πŸ‘
